Rainbows & Waves
In Japan Rainbows are some what rare unlike in the Wave Capitol of the world Hawaii, I always remember visiting our good friends Sean Anderson & Kainoa Mgee at Ohana Surf in Wakiki & being blown away with the amount of rainbows they have its like every corner you turn or at least 10 times a day there is one , especially over the ocean. Which means a lot of opportunity to get some great shots of rainbows and water.
But here in Japan things are so much harder, so i take every opportunity i can when a big storm is about to pass or one is arriving to be out and about with my camera. As the two things you need for the magic to happen is light and rain or a sky filled with moisture. In all my years taking pictures these moments are still very few and fare between & even harder to get a good image.
There is a saying that at the end of every rainbow a pot of gold can be found , i certainly found mine here when i discovered Katsuura and opened Splash Guest House in Hebara now i get to chase those pots of gold a few magical times a year.
